For over 25 years, Visit and Poken by GES has been enabling event organisers to collect, store and process participant data in a compliant manner.
Adherence to regulation is important to us and, as such, our policies, systems, processes and practices are continually reviewed and, wherever possible, improved. Our goal as your data processor is to enable you to optimise experiences, automate execution and monetise your data. To do so, every attention is paid to the manner in which our platform is configured to collect data, the security of our cyber infrastructure to host it, the encryption of your data at rest and in transit and the integrity of our api, when deployed by you to share data with 3rd parties.
Upon acquisition by GES in 2014, Visit and Poken by GES has become a global business with offices throughout Europe, Middle East, Asia & the USA. The company has embarked upon ISO 27001 accreditation as we feel sure that the undertaking will enhance our ability to better serve you, wherever you choose to stage your events. As part of this initiative, we are pleased to advise that we have implemented necessary steps to ensure that you can continue to utilise our solutions in a GDPR compliant manner. Clients will receive an overview of the modifications completed in our software.
For more detail, please refer to our User Guide, accessible from your Visit account, and the upcoming Release Notes, which will be distributed to organiser users of the Visit software. Please note, our next release will be June 3rd, being the first available date to minimise the risk of disruption (due to the high volume of events in the preceding days).
Organiser clients will soon receive an updated SLA which details our obligations to you, as your data processor, and yours to us, as data owner/controller. We will also share updated Visitor & Exhibitor terms, enabling us to fulfil any data sharing between buyers & sellers at your events on your behalf. If you have any queries or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact your Client Manager.
